Caucuses

On January 3rd, was the Iowa Caucuses and this year was my first year attending one. It was really interesting in all, but let me back up.
I was planning on taking Cobra, but all that day he had a serious gas problem and we're not talking little either. He could clear out a room and and every time he let it rip. Later that night he hadn't done it in a few hours so I thought I'd chance it and bring him. On our way there, he lets a little one loose and I freeze and wait for the smell. Luckily it wasn't nearly as bad as the previous ones, so I was still planning on bringing him. We get to the school where the Republican caucuses are held and boy was it crowded! Cobra was of course in the way and as we made our way to the very back of the school (it was divided by townships and our township was in the library which was in the way back) he had to "follow", a command we use when the passageway is too narrow and we need to go single file so he falls back behind me. It was soo crowded though, people were bumping into him and such and poor Cobra thought it was a mad house! Luckily, we made it through the madness alive and headed to the library. We get there, get checked in and take a seat and what do you think happened?
Well if you thought he plopped down and fell asleep you are sure wrong.
He let out such a stinker I thought I was going to die. I quickly escaped the room and headed back through the madness to go and put him in the car. It was easier than the first time because people were settling down.
After we get done at like 8:15, we get in the car and have to air it out for like 5 minutes. It was that bad!
Well, he is over it now and Yesterday I took him to work again (I can just imagine what would happen if he did that at work)
On to happier things, I bought Cobra a new leash. At Tractor Supply, you can usually order things for a cheaper price because you don't pay the profit of the stores. So I bought an expensive 18" leather leash (I had been meaning to get a shorter one for sometime) that would have originally cost me 24 bucks or so, and I got it, plus tax, for $7.40. I know! what a deal. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that that style was being discontinued, but still, If I would have ordered a different one, it would have been well below the retail prices.
Oh, and one more thing, here's a pic of my new friend that I bought at work. He was originally $13, and now he's $4.50 or something. Isn't he soo cute? He's the Tractor Supply mule with a little TSC hoodie on. I saw him and just had to have him, especially at that price!

He is cute! I'm glad you gave him a permanent home. Glad Cobra's odors are now over with! :)

Oh my gosh. I'm LOL over here, because when Rufus gets going, he can clear out the room, car, etc, too. The funnies is when he looks around and wrinkles his nose, like where did that come from?!

That little mule is cute!
