The Moving Trip

Alright everyone! I now have Internet on a regular basis! everyone say yeah! now wahoo!......great dead silence...not good...lol:)

Anyway, The move from North Iowa to southern California was very interesting indeed. We passed through so many interesting places. I do wish we would have had time to get out and do some exploring, but we drove straight through, only stopping to let dogs out and switch drivers.

I also regret not taking pics of the dogs more, but like I said, we just drove straight through and when you have two dogs in the back of a U-Haul you tend to wait until nighttime for potty breaks so no one turns us in. I was so worried about that the entire time, but there was nothing I could do. Tara, Annie, and Vance were in the U-Haul truck with us and JD and Sammy were in the back in kennels along with the cats. Very full in the cab....VERY full! Annie and Vance were on the floor and Tara got the privilege of sitting in the seat. Has nothing to do with the fact that she is queen of all lol :) So yeah, limited on pics, but got to see some great places along the way

Here we are getting ready to leave. Adam's car on the U-Haul and us in the truck.....with all those dogs :) fun fun! night of Thursday the 25th of March we left.....and now for the rest of the story:

No one even wanted to cooperate with picture taking anyway. Never did get a good pic of Vance and Annie. Annie hating car rides and stressed the entire time to Vance sleeping the entire time.

DENVER!!! farthest west I've been, never seen a mountain in my life. ton of them from here on out.

Started to snow really bad. Turns out they closed one major road and we didn't want to get stuck there till who knows when so we took another road...bad idea! ice, snow, steep roads, very close to edge with no guardrails....all while driving a 26' truck and trailer. Sounds like fun....now that I look back. Had to wait on top of some mountain for 3 hours so they could clear the roads. I also had to go potty really really bad! Dogs just got let out an hour ago, but do you think i thought to go? no! so torture there and when they finally did clear the roads, we had a steep mountain to go down.
It was very pretty up there. love to go back...with a car :)

Vance thought this was comfortable for some reason, he was probably to delirious to know better

Got a cute pic of Tara resting on Adam. I couldn't pass this up. My turn to drive so was driving and taking pictures, it's okay, we didn't crash :)
We now reside in California in his parent's camper because we are going to live with them for a few months till we have some money saved up. We will be in a house in 2 weeks hopefully. There was an issue with a title search for this house and that's all his parents are waiting for. So in the meantime, I'm hanging out in the camper while Adam and his dad go to work.
Once they find the title, the house is actually in Arizona (that's how close we are to the border)
So just FYI to all the puppyraisers, I am in need of puppy outings! :) hopefully some of you are within driving distance, it would be so neat to do some outings with other PITs from different organizations.

Glad to hear you made it though Colorado safely. Let me know if you are ever in the area for more than a drive through :) We can go on an outing!

Glad you all arrived safe and sound, despite the snowstorm and steep roads.
