Training

So what I just realized about living in Arizona is that it might as well be winter here. During the winter you can get outside and do stuff but only for a little bit and certain times. Same thing with the desert. It get's soo hot that it's a nightmare trying to get walks, playtimes in. I now make sure the dogs are inside from late morning to late afternoon. I have to do walks in the morning, but even then, it's 90-95 degrees by 8 o' clock! It also doesn't cool off to that temperature until 11 or so...

*Sidenote: I am looking at getting a cheap treadmill so that the dogs can have exercises inside and relieve some energy*

So with that said, Vance has gotten out only do do bare minimum stuff: Grocery shopping, small er rends, post office, and the Casino (I know! ha ha first time for everything, right? lol)

He has entered "this stage" in his life where I think he has learned selective hearing and in turn didn't do certain commands well and sometimes refused. Um...I DON'T THINK SO!!

One of his things was, when I told him to stay and walked behind him, he would get up and turn around to face me. We worked hard on that one and I think we got it! Here's a vid to prove it. Also good opportunity for better come's :)

We're having similar problems with the heat. The temps are low 90's but the heat indexes are way over 100. Yay, Vance on fixing the stay!!
