Starting Out

To begin with, I got interested in becoming a puppy raiser for KSDS (Kansas Specialty Dog Service) about three years ago when my dog instructor was raising her second puppy for Leader Dogs for the Blind. I contacted KSDS, received an application, and waited. I got news in August of 2005 that they had a puppy for me, but told them I couldn't get one until spring of the following year. So that is the my process in a nutshell of where I am at now. So as I am writing this, I am waiting for my puppy to be born and weaned so that I can have him/her. I'm sooo excited and I can't wait. I will post more info. as it comes available.
