Corn Adventures

So today Cobra and I were out for a little stroll around our place. It is nice because we have this old gravel road that was used as a normal road back in the day, but is now a farmers road. Cobra decided to go play in the corn, so naturally I had my camera (any event whatsoever calls for the use of a camera in hand!) and took a few shots. It basically meant that I had to dive right into the corn also. It brought back detasseling memories. For those of you who don't know what detasseling is, be glad. It isn't hard work, but you have to pull the tassels off the corn so it doesn't polinate itself, but will be polinated by a "male row"(hybrid) which is in between every 4-6 rows of regular corn.

Again not hard work, but you have to walk alot in hot, sticky, muggy weather. The pay is good if you think days not conditions.

Oh the memories........

What a funny picture. Looks like Cobra was enjoying himself. Can't wait till PUPSdaze to see him up close and be able to compare him to his little siblings Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Curry as well as who ever else might be there.
