I think about 5 days ago Cobra woke up and his hind end was real stiff. I thought maybe he slept on it wrong and that in an hour or two he would be hack to normal. He went to work with me that morning and when I put him in a down/stay and then released him to get up, he wouldn't push up on his legs, he kind of struggled and would slowly get up but you could tell that is was hard for him. After that first time I didn't want him getting up and down on the hard floors at work so I put him out in the truck for the rest of the day. ( I had crates set up in the back and his pillow in there, so he was warm) After work, I headed up to my sisters house with all 3 dogs in tow, but left Cobra in his crate to relax.
I was thinking the worst. Hip problems, broken pelvis, dislocated leg or disk, anything and everything! Then it dawned on me.....what if it was just a pinched nerve? Well I was really hoping for that and let Cobra rest all day and the next day. After about the second day he was back to his old self. He was stretching and running where before he could barely walk and stretching was out of the question.
I'm glad that's all over. I was really thinking hip problems and that he was going to be a paralyzed dog all his life! I was preparing myself to one of those dog wheelchairs!
But anyway, the scare is over and he's back to normal. Thank goodness!
Today and Yesterday I made a bunch of Christmas cookies that will need to be frosted tomorrow. You should have seen the dirty little-four-legged rat that was sniffing the counter where I put them. I finally had to put him in his crate because I didn't want the chance of half my cookies disappearing, or worse......ALL!
I don't really have much more to say...........OH! I did get a laptop on Friday, but it was my second choice one. My first choice was gone in a snap. When I got in line at 1:30 there were already about 75 people in line. I heard through the grapevine that the very first people were there on Thursday at about 5. You should have seen their setup! An ice house with heaters and a small t.v., a portable grill and lots and lots of blankets. Oh how I envied them!
Anyway, I got my laptop and don't have to worry about it anymore. :) :) :) :) :) :)
