Bad News and Sympathy

I got some bad news Monday night. One of two things. First, my sister-in-law got in a major car accident. She flipped and rolled her F350 and completely totalled it. Thank goodness she didn't have any kids with her because the car seats were cracked and broken. The roof was smashed way down and it's is so lucky that she's alive! She has a few bruised ribs and then a bit of a sore neck and then cuts and bruises, but nothing else. She should've have been dead, from what I've heard what the truck looks like.

As my second set of bad news, Because of all the hustle of getting to the hospital and such, the door didn't get closed good and my parent's dog, Chase, got hit by a car. He was so sad by this. Extremely sad. He was never one to get attached to animals, in fact, he never really cared for any of the farm dogs we ever had, but Chase really touched his life for the few short months he had him. He even had my mom clean up all the stuff because he just couldn't put it away himself, it was too heartbreaking. The one thing he keeps telling me is that that dog was the perfect match for him and that he didn't deserve to die that way.

I do have an idea. I thought, to cheer him up, would people be interested in a card shower for him? The whole experience of me raising Cobra, seeing him graduate, me moving to work in this field, and then adopting a retired breeder has opened his eyes to the love that we put into these guys and the love they give back.
If you could, could you send cards to: Ron Callow, 23188 Hickory Ave, Clear Lake, IA 50428

Thank you guys so much! It would mean the world to him. I know it would

I'm so sorry to hear this Sarah! My sympathy and love is on it's way to your family! I'll be sending out a card for your father in memory of Chase. Eva is sending puppy kisses and Rizzo is sending doxie wiggles your way!

I understand the trama of car accidents right now, although ours wasn't as bad as your sister-in-law's sounds, right now, I know all I need is a listening ear and shoulder to cry on.

Oh, wow! I am so glad that your sister is okay, that is so scary. and I am SO sorry to hear about Chase. It is so hard to loose a pet! And the whole getting hit by a car thing really hits home for me. I will certainly send a card to your dad, I hope your dad feels better soon.
