The Mississippi

Doniphan and I went to Wisconsin for a little camping trip with some of my family and I didn't take too many pictures, but I got a few, of us in front of the bridge over the Mississippi near La Crosse, MN.

We also got to work on traffic distractions with a two lane just feet from the walk way across the bridge. He did fine, nothing phased him.

He didn't mind the height of it either. I walked him on the regular left side, on the outer edge and he didn't care that we were going higher and higher, with the ground getting smaller and smaller (alright, maybe I was a bit worried :)

Here is most of the bridge. It's bigger than it looks but you can only get so much on the camera.

He was so interested in that boat down on the water. It was the funniest thing! Couldn't figure out what was moving or how.

we had a great time! We took our time driving back home and we saw alot of Amish. Even drove by some homesteads. A main road was closed, so i had to take a little country gravel road and two Amish kids were playing and they popped out of this ditch/grove area and I didn't see them right away! I thought They weren't going to stop, but they did. They probably don't see too many cars on that road so they were just as shocked as I was! They went on there merry way down the road, safe and unharmed. I wanted to take a picture with Doni next to a horse and buggy, but thought that would be too much, considering they don't like their pics taken :) oops, but we had a great trip!

Sounds like another fun trip. The Amish don't like their picture taken, but maybe they would let you take one of Doni just by the horse and buggy, without any people in it?
