So Much, So Much....

As the title suggests, there is soo much going on with Doni, Vance and Me that updating all of you on our current path was darn near impossible till I got it all figured out. Life has been crazy, fast, and every day seems to be done and gone with before I knew what was going on.
With that said, I will start my long process of getting you guys up to speed on what's happening in my life.

I want to start with Doni. Doni has been doing very very well in college. A few weeks ago, I so wanted to give KSDS a call and see how he was doing but since I worked there and know "the automated response" lol I thought I would just wait until I received news.

I was at the ol' boyfriend's house and was looking up some things online and saw that some people in doni's litter had gotten letters letting them know if their dog passed or failed. I darn near fell out of my chair! The time had come for me to see if Doni had been a good boy and was passing and picking a program or if he decided working just wasn't for him.

I was an hour and a half away from home and Adam and I had to do some last minute shopping for our ski trip the next day so we hurried (more like he took his time and I was pulling him around the store) got our purchases, and then headed back to my house. I was so excited! I just wanted to know, either good or bad, I just wanted the wait to be over. We pull up to the mailbox and sure enough, one little lonely letter addressed to me from KSDS. I just kept saying I didn't want to know, so Adam took that seriously and was driving around with the letter hanging out the window!!! AAHH!! I could have killed him at that point!! We pull in the driveway, I grab the letter, and I open it........

Summarizing: We are pleased to let you know that Doniphan has passed all of his necessary health tests and will be continuing his learning as a Guide dog in training.
GASP!!!! He made it! Oh I am so happy, Mr. Doni a future Guide dog....I can so imagine him in that harness, acting so proud and pleased with himself for taking care of his new master :) It just warms ya up inside :) I'm sure most of you know what I mean.

Seems like yesterday, I was telling him to leave-it and no sniff at the bugs on the sidewalk...ah the joys of puppyraising, its the little things we do that make such a difference
