Oh The Cats

Thought I would take a few posts and talk about the other family members besides Vance.

I'll start with the cats:

KANSAS

Kansas is my first kitty that I got on my own. I grew up on a farm and have always had farm cats, but this one I got to live in my house with me :)

I was employed at KSDS, Inc at the time and I had let a few people know that I was looking for a cat. I was all settled into my house after a few months and thought it was time for a new addition.

After a few weeks I got a call from the local vet office. They knew, through the grape vine, I was looking for a cat and they just had one come in that needed a home.

I got there after work, and heard his story. Apparently a good Samaritan lady had witnessed someone throwing this cat from a truck, and she stopped to pick it up. the cat had a major wound on its head and this lady offered to pay for the medicine and everything as long as the vet clinic found him a home.

Ta-daa!! That was me! He didn't have any hair on his head (cause of shaving and the wound itself) and people were joking that I should name him Scarface. I liked the name Kansas cause of two reasons: I moved to the state and after all, He was from Kansas :) and because of the band. Like the classic rock.

He is three years old and thriving! He has made the move from Kansas, to Iowa, and then to California with ease :)

I love my Kansas!

PARKER

Parker is such an interesting cat and surprises me everyday! He doesn't have an interesting adoption story like Kansas but he is special nontheless :)

My sister-in-law's cat had kittens and gave them to my parents on the farm. His littermates didn't really make it due to cold, sickness, cars, etc...I decided to take him and what a difference he has made to this crazy household! He is a lover! If your laying on the bad or on the floor he comes up to you and starts purring and rubbing up against you.

He is really attached to Adam. His favorite place is to lay on Adam's stomach or back. The funniest thing, although I now have to compete for a cat's love.
