Desert Camping

This weekend, Adam and I went camping with his parents. It was my first camping trip since moving out here and my first ever trip, camping out in the desert. It sure was interesting, Adam and I hiked for miles it seemed like, although I think it was just a mile or two. The dogs LOVED it! I took Tara, Annie, JD, and Vance, but left Sammy in the camper. He's not one for "hard labor" so to speak :)
They never ventured far, always staying by my side or Adams. If I ever stopped, they would walk a few feet then wait for me to catch up. They never got tired, well except for Vance. If there was a sandy spot or a minute where we stopped, he would lay down as if to say, "Really? Can we be done guys? Seriously..."
I also got to learn to ride my first manual Quad. I know how to ride 4x4's but not manual ones, like dirtbikes, I just never learned. So that was fun, I only stalled it a few times, lol!

The only bad part about camping in the desert is that I'm allergic to all the desert plants I guess. I itch all over, even now that we're back and I have hives too. The environment just doesn't agree with me quite yet.

Vance was eager to get going!

My 4 pups (minus Sammy) L-R: Annie, JD, Tara, and Vance

It doesn't rain very much in the desert, but while we were hiking, it rained a bit, what are the odds?! So I had to capture the rainbow in the desert :)

After cutting across the desert, we finally just went on road that actually led somewhere

My very tired boy, Vance

Hosta does that too... if we stop he just lays down. So lazy!!! Looks like you had a fun time though! That's great!

Sounds like the dogs all had fun, though you, not so much with all the itchy.
